SurfCalc

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data SurfCalc collects through this website, the free trial form, the SurfCalc desktop application's licensing, and support email, why, and what rights you have over it. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spain's Organic Law 3/2018 on data protection (LOPDGDD).

1. Who is responsible for your data

Data controller: Mahy Soler, trading as SurfCalc

Postal address: see the Legal Notice

Contact: support@surfcalc.com

SurfCalc is a small operation and has not appointed a Data Protection Officer, which is not required at its scale. Write to the address above for any privacy question or request.

2. What we collect and why

Your engineering data stays on your computer. The SurfCalc application contacts the licensing service only to activate and validate your key. It never uploads your models, meshes, results, or project files.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

3. Who processes it on our behalf

We use the following service providers ("processors"). Each processes data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement.

4. How long we keep it

5. Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent to product-update emails at any time. Write to support@surfcalc.com; we will answer within one month. Deleting your trial record ends your trial, and a computer that has already used a trial still cannot start another one.

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) or the data protection authority where you live.

6. Cookies

This website does not set cookies. Page-view statistics are collected without cookies and without identifying you, so no cookie banner is shown. If you enable bot protection on the trial form, Cloudflare Turnstile may use strictly necessary browser storage to tell people from bots; it is not used for tracking.

7. Age

SurfCalc is professional engineering software and is not intended for anyone under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use data you already gave us, we will tell you by email first.
